The iTero 5D Scanner is a state-of-the-art digital scanning system that eliminates the need for unpleasant traditional alginate impressions—no more messy putty in your mouth! With our iTero 5D Scanner, Dr. Corley can digitally capture a highly detailed 3D model of your teeth and gums. Not only is an iTero 5D digital scan far more comfortable than the old putty-based impressions, but it’s faster and provides images that are more precise.
How does iTero work?
During the scanning process, Dr. Corley or a member of the Rea Corley Dentistry team will use the iTero 5D Scanner’s wand to capture images of your teeth and gum tissue. You can breathe or swallow as you normally would. You can even pause during the process if you need to sneeze or just want to ask a question.
The iTero 5D Scanner will create an actual medical record which Dr. Rea Corley can use to diagnose any treatment needed quickly. It also creates a 3D model of your mouth that Dr. Corley can use with all dental services, including the Invisalign® Outcome Simulator, to give you a before and after picture of what your smile would look like.
